Alaska Airlines Aviation Day

      June 14, 2025       10:00 - 3:00

Alaska Airline's Aviation Day, held at the San Francisco International Airport, is a free event for youth ages 11 to 18. It’s designed to give flight to young minds interested in careers within the air travel industry.
Each year, attendees participate in fun, informative activities and interact with aviation workers, devices, and machinery essential to the industry, learning about a wide range of topics related to aviation.

EAST PALO ALTO SUMMER PARKS ACTIVATION

Bay Area Urban Eagles invites youth ages 9–15 to explore the exciting world of aviation. 

Each Saturday session introduces a new topic, from aerodynamics, navigation, and flight controls to flight simulation, drone technology, rocketry, and space exploration. 

Youth will engage in interactive lessons and STEM-based activities—all designed to inspire the next generation of aviators, engineers, and explorers. The program culminates with a Family Night celebration highlighting the wonders of space!

All sessions are held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 - 1:00 for age range 9 - 15.

Session 9: (August 9)                    Rocketry  - Jack Farrell Park or Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School  


Session 10: (August 16)                    Family Night: Space Exploration - Bell Street Park

Designed for youth aged 9 - 15, our offering ensures captivating engagement through a variety of exercises, experiments, and team activities using interactive video, VR gaming, 

Frequent discovery flights in a Cessna 172, Piper PA-28, or Commander 114 airplane

  • 2:15 -3:00                                    Hangar Games (STEM Experiments, Drones, Simulators)

  • 2:15 -3:00                                  Flighline Excursions, Maintenance Hangars, Air Traffic Control Tours
  • 3:00 - 3:15.                            Disembark and Signout
